What would be the new popular world golf destinations in upcoming years?

What are your thoughts on new popular golf destinations?

What new golf vacation spots would be popular among golfers in upcoming years?|||I think that you have to look at where are the economies booming, and where is golf starting to boom, In answer to that, over the near future, say the next 20 years, look to Asia. As more and more Asian's take up the game, and it is already huge there, Asian travel destinations including Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam will be huge. In addition, India is about 15-20 years behind the boom that China started about 30 years ago, so India will be huge over the next 20-50 years. If you look farther afield toward the latter half of the century, the African continent with its emerging economies and emerging golf markets will be a significant player.|||The USGA and R%26amp;A are looking REALLY hard at China. They wanted golf in the Olympics there fiercely, hoping that would cause the government to overturn taxes on the sport, thus making it available to more people. India is considered, in terms of golf, among that area. They look at the number of people there and salivate... it's almost like the boom of '97-'98, when Tiger helped the game explode in the US.

South America is another spot, and made even better with their inclusion in the Olympics.

Cuba is another area. Why, I don't know- not with Castro still lurking around somewhere.

Personally, I want to go to Scotland. Yeah, everyone (pretty much) has The Old Course in St. Andrews on their "to do" list, but I don't care. There's many things about that course that are intriguing.|||I think that Rio in Brazil will become a golf destination in the future. Apparently they don't even have a championship calibre golf course there right now but one will have to be built as golf is going to be included in the 2016 Summer Olympics.

A championship calibre course in a tourist destination like Rio combined with the Olympic Games would be a huge draw.
