I want to install spikes onto a pair of my normal shoes. The reason being that golf shoes these days a ugly. Is there a company out there that makes this type of product or is there a way for my to be able to something like that?|||it's seems not|||Not that I've ever been able to find out. If you could find the female receptacle that fits the metal threaded style of cleat, it could be possible... but I'm only going on speculation and have no cobbling experience.
You could also just wear the shoes you want and not sweat it. Unless you're in some severely wild conditions, spikes don't make that much of a difference. And if you're swinging so hard and out of control you think you might need spikes, you've got bigger golf problems than that. Think about it: Fred Couples can hit 300+ yard drives in golf shoes with little nubs, Ryan Moore plays pro golf with a similar model from a different company. Jim McMahon- yes, the old "Da Bears" QB- can hit 300+ yard drives barefoot while filming a "Playing Lessons" episode.|||No, you cannot. However, I'm curious about your statement that golf shoes are ugly. There are as many different styles of golf shoes as regular shoes, ranging from classy dress shoes, to athletic shoes, and even to sandals. Whatever you normally wear, there's probably a similar-looking golf shoe.
Of course, you could just wear athletic shoes. You'll lose a bit of foot anchoring (which will probably produce some erratic shots), but if you're not a golfer, it should make little difference.|||You do have that option yes. But if you are serious considering it, use soft materials instead of hard ones. It's more for the purpose of good golf etiquette because when you arrive on the green you want to leave it just as you found it and using hard materials could leave spike marks on ground which is something golfers do not enjoy the sight of. So choose soft materials because they won't leave as many marks on the ground.|||sounds like a lot of work. if they are soft sole and flat you can use them like that or find some on sale its a lot cheaper and less headache. i got some for $20. spikes would cost you $13 and the treads, your drilling and special inserts lot of work.|||There are shoes called footjoy street, they look like casual shoes but have spikes in them.
